How Two Towers Studio handles your data when you play Zoms or use this website.

Last updated: 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Two Towers Studio ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the game Zoms and this website. By playing Zoms or using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Email address — if you join the survivor / mailing list, so we can send test invites and updates.
  • Character data — the name, appearance, class, and progress of the characters you create in-game.
  • Communications — messages you send to us for support or feedback.

Information collected automatically

  • Account identifier — your Steam ID, used to authenticate you and link your saved progress.
  • Gameplay & save data — your characters, inventory, bases, position, and other progress, stored on our game servers.
  • Voice chat — in-game proximity and radio voice is transmitted through a third-party voice service while you are connected. We do not record or store your voice.
  • Technical & log data — IP address, connection logs, crash reports, and basic performance data used to operate and debug the servers.

3. How we use your information

  • To run the game — authenticate you, save and load your progress, and enable multiplayer features.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the servers, and to diagnose crashes and bugs.
  • To prevent cheating, abuse, and violations of our terms.
  • To send you the updates and test invites you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party services

Zoms relies on a few trusted third parties to function. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Steam (Valve Corporation) — distribution, accounts, and authentication.
  • Unity & Vivox — game engine services and in-game voice chat.
  • Email / mailing-list provider — to deliver list emails (if you subscribe).

5. Data retention

We keep your game save and account data for as long as your account is active. Mailing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service. You may request deletion of your data as described below.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in each message.

7. Children

Zoms is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game develops. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be announced in-game or by email.

10. Contact
