Everything we can tell you so far. Zoms is in active development, so some answers will sharpen as we get closer to launch.
Zoms is a third-person zombie apocalypse survival MMO. You scavenge a persistent open world, craft gear, build and defend a base, and survive the horde — solo or with other players.
Yes — Zoms is built as a multiplayer survival MMO from the ground up, with a dedicated server hosting a shared, persistent world. Form parties of up to four, trade with other survivors, chat over proximity voice and radio, and take on dungeons together.
Absolutely. Every system — building, crafting, combat and questing — works on your own. Grouping up makes survival easier and unlocks shared loot and XP, but it's never required.
Yes. Play on our official persistent world, or run your own dedicated server and set your own rules — an in-game server browser lists the worlds you can join. Hosting the server is free and open; you'll just need to own Zoms to play on any of them.
Zoms is being built for PC first. We'll announce store pages and any additional platforms as we get closer to release — join the survivor list to hear it first.
There's no public release date yet. The game is in pre-alpha with the core survival loop already playable, and we're running closed test sessions while we scale and polish. Open beta comes next.
Join the survivor list with your email. Test invites, dev updates, and launch news all go out there first. We're growing the player pool carefully as the servers scale up.
Scavenge and gather raw materials, craft weapons, gear and base parts, claim land and build a stronghold, then defend it through the night while pushing into tougher zones for better loot. Manage hunger, thirst and infection the whole time.
No permadeath — death isn't the end of your character. When you fall you can respawn at a graveyard, but higher-level survivors drop their equipped gear and worn pack where they died, so a grave marker shows the way back. Get there before someone else does.
Five — Pathfinder, Enforcer, Combat Medic, Engineer and Demolitionist — each with unique traits and a full ability kit. On top of that, 18 RuneScape-style proficiencies level up as you play. See the classes →
Yes — each account has a roster of survivors. Create several, switch between them from the character screen, and delete any you're done with. Your bases and land claims are shared across all of your account's characters.
Pricing and business model haven't been announced yet. We'll share details before launch — list members will be the first to know.
Zoms is an indie project by Two Towers Studio, built in Unity. It's a passion project being developed in the open — expect frequent updates as new systems land.
